Jumpstart into fall through DFJ's summer intensive.  Miss Jenni will be offering a 2-week Intensive Dance Camp. Level 1 class will include Ballet technique and choreography and Level 2 and 3 classes offered each day include Prayer dancing, Ballet technique, Pointe and Pre-Pointe, Devotional/lunch time (lunch is to be provided by the student), and choreography.  I will be scheduling a short performance on Thursday evening, August 16th.* Please note that this day will require an extension of practice time due to performance preparation. (More details about this performance will be coming soon.)  I highly recommend Level 2 and 3 students take both weeks to fully benefit from the complete program, however if this is not possible, please talk to me about a 1 week option.   Please sign up and pay $20 deposit to reserve a spot for classes desired.  This deposit will be applied to the remainder of tuition price.  Tuition paid in full is due by August 6th.

Pre Pointe option with teacher approval

Dancing on pointe is not and will never be a requirement for worship dance, it is simply
an opportunity to take your ballet studies to a new level and is similar to learning another style of dance.  For example, we have studied tap, jazz, and ballet as our foundation to worship. Pointe dancing definitely can be used in worship; however, the training required for performing takes a lot of time and dedication.

If your student has an interest in studying Pointe technique, I highly recommend taking the 2 week intensive program.   The ballet technique and Pointe/Pre-Pointe classes are designed to increase muscle strength in the ankle, calf and arch and I highly recommend them for anyone interested in starting pointe work in the fall.  Each student grows and progresses at their own pace, so eligibility and readiness for pointe work will be determined on a case by case basis. Please let me know if you have more questions about Pre-Pointe or Pointe classes and technique.

Our Vision for "Dancing for Jesus"

We believe that every child can express themselves through the arts.

Teaching children dance in a loving and wholesome environment along with the teachings of Jesus gives them confidence.

Confidence, built upon an understanding of the Bible and it's promises and their new-found abilities to move in a rhythmic and choreographed way becomes the foundation, the reason, and the purpose for dance for these children
